Mourad has a passion for wines which he shares with his longstanding accomplice and associate Didier Lefort, whose wine shop Au Bon Plaisir is a short walk away, at 104 Rue des Pyrénées. Didier and we choose our wines only after sampling them, and we're constantly on the lookout for new vignerons to broaden our offerings.
Our preference goes to wine growers who apply organic, biodynamic or reasoned agriculture methods.
Natural wines account for a large share of our wine list.
We sell excellent wines to go, available at reasonable prices ranging from ԇ to ㈙, while for bottles served with dinner, the additional corkage fee (droit de bouchon) is only ԇ!
Mourad stocks a wide selection of wines, but his favorites are:
- Languedoc (especially Lacroix-Vanel, Jean Baptiste Senat, and Les Foulards Rouges)
- Alsace (including Marc Tempé and Binner)
- Loire (such as Philippe Tessier, François Chidaine or Jacky Blot)
- Côtes du Rhône (among them, Marcel Richaud, Guy Jullien, François Alary and Jean David)
- Beaujolais (including Jean Foillard and P.M. Chermette)
In all, no less than a hundred selections representing wines of all appellations.
Mourad's latest discovery is the Languedoc's Domaine Rocaudy, whose young and talented winemaker produces an outstanding naturally sweet Muscat.
