Vierge de la Reunion restaurant and wine bar in Paris artists' corner

Marcel Vandeweyer
He's the one who draws outsized faces, cannons, TV screens, water kettles, naked women with budding genitals, touching, cruel, enigmatic, ironical, twisted perhaps but, as Marcel often explains with a smile, "They're not all that twisted, what's twisted is men's minds."
Marcel doesn't fit into categories, he engraves, glues, draws, creates boxes, tells stories with which each of us can identify. Young or old.
Drawing is his whole life, that's what he knows and does, and nothing else…
Except, well, cooking… and his potted fruits are magnificent.

Leïla Houari

Leïla is originally Moroccan, but also Belgian and now Parisian. She loves life, painting, music, and putting together delicious little dishes… What doesn't make her laugh, at all, is the state of the world, of our planet, injustice, wars, fanaticism. She hates anything and everything that confines, classifies, categorizes, and what she yearns for is truth.
Why not discover a passage of her new book, Les Rives Identitaires ? (in French)

Bertrand Celce

Our thanks to Bertrand for the pictures he took of Vierge de la Réunion, which you can also enjoy on his Wine Terroirs website.
